A day of two halves! Sam and Rob's wedding made the absolute most of living in Brighton - a fabulous windswept ceremony on the iconic Brighton Bandstand then joyous garden party mayhem in one of the most stunning gardens imaginable.
Sam got ready for the day with Mum and best friend Lucy in the grand surroundings of the Hilton Brighton Metropole and travelled on foot (with entourage & looking amazing) along the promenade to the Bandstand, where groom Rob and guests were ready and waiting. I loved the heartfelt, personal, touches for the ceremony - Sam's Dad sadly passed away a few years ago, but, by having his camera strap around her bouquet and a chair for him at the ceremony, Sam felt him there as an important part of things. Beloved pet Kaiser was also 'best dog' (complete with bow tie!) Saying their 'I do's at the bandstand made Sam and Rob's emotional occasion intimate (max 50 guests seated) yet spectacular, with the visually dramatic framing of the bandstand itself and backdrop of open sea and sky. Next, it was on to the garden party location by Big Lemon bus, where fun and frolics were to be had in the stunning stage of Rob's parents beautiful garden in the West Sussex countryside.
The garden party reception was a fun, joy-filled affair, with perfect weather, confetti and quirky garden games. The whole garden was made use of, with a marquee and pop-up bar still leaving plenty of room for running around and relaxation. Egg and spoon races, scavenger hunt and (inflatable) sheep racing sprang from Sam's drama teacher silliness as an important aspect of the day (having children as guests also helped with the laid-back fun vibes). In the marquee, DIY 'Botanical' themed decor sat perfectly with the idyllic garden location. An amazing vegan spread was supplied by Vegan Food Pimp and copious dessert table by Glitterbug Bakery.
This was such a fab wedding - all thought through so creatively on a budget, with so many personal touches. Thanks, Sam and Rob - so glad to have been part of it!
